Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC)

BDA are working in partnership with the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC, formerly known as International Society for Biological Therapy of Cancer). BDA and SITC members are present at conferences hosted by both organisations.

SITC is a non-profit society of medical professionals.

The goals of SITC are directed towards the rapid dissemination of information on clinical and translational aspects of biologic approaches to cancer treatment to expedite the safe transfer of both basic and applied research to the clinical setting.

The SITC aim is to improve cancer patient outcomes by advancing the science, development and application of cancer immunology and immunotherapy through interaction/integration, innovation, translation and leadership in the field.

SITC core values are
1. Interaction/Integration: Facilitate the exchange of information and education among basic and translational researchers, clinicians, young investigators, societies and groups sharing the mission of SITC
2. Innovation: Challenge the thinking and seek the best research in the development of cancer immunotherapy
3. Translation: Facilitate the transfer of cancer immunology and immunotherapy research from the bench to the clinic and back
4. Leadership: Define what is new and important and effectively communicate it to all relevant stakeholders
